After studying interior design and textiles, I have a huge passion for all domestic interior design and detail.

EXPERIENCE & COMMISSIONS

2011- Current, Freckles and Gilbert. I have produced a collection of 6 surface pattern designs for the new brand Freckles & Gilbert, for application on their range of gadget covers. Freckles & Gilbert are working with Duncan Bannatyne to release products on the market in 2012.

2011- Current, Graduate Collection Ltd. I have worked in accordance with Graduate Collection, to produce my own unique collection of ceramic and kitchen textile designs. Products will be sold at graduatecollection.co.uk in 2012.

2011 ‘Mastering Sketching’ by Judy Martin. My drawing and design style were featured in Judy Martin’s book, chosen to show how sketching can be applied to textile design.

2010 Hallmark Cards.

2 week intern at Hallmark in Bradford, designing greetings cards, gift ware and creating mock ups.

2010- Current Fiona Nix Ltd, Interior Design.

Assistant designer within an Interior Design Company who specialise in Show House design and installation. My role includes creating theme and mood presentation boards, scale drawing, selecting furniture, wallpapers and fabrics to create a finished interior space that meets a clients brief, theme or target market.

A/W 2009/10 Absolute Zero Degrees.

Asked to design a range of wallpapers suitable to be sold on Culture Label, taking part in tutorials with the company and presenting the final collection to them where I received highly commended for my response.

2010 Tutorials and workshops with paper engineer Jay Young, designer maker Linda Florence and Tracy Brown.

2010 Newnham Alpacas Commission, Northamptonshire. Designing a brand identity and logo for the business.

2009 Linen House, Melbourne, Australia.

One day work experience working with the design team and catalogue photographers.

2008 Design Wales competition sponsored by Mothercare, receiving runner up in final stages of competition for designing three children’s nursery collections.

2006-2007Fiona Nix Ltd, Northamptonshire.

Part time work placement as a design assistant in a business environment, creating design boards, and arranging furniture and fittings within show homes.

2007 Met Design Studio, London.

One day project to design a traveling exhibition engaging for children; on winning the competition I received a week’s work placement with the company.
